A fellow seller who specializes in jewelry believes this beauty may have been a mourning bracelet of the late victorian period. It also has the style transition suggesting art deco. Whatever the style is, it is delicate and beautiful! The closure, a unique hook clasp is marked with "STER". Twenty-two delicate panel links will caress the curve of your wrist. The central ornament is surrounded by filigree hearts and is about 5/8" in diameter. The bracelet is 7" long. It is beautiful and has wear but is ready to go back into service. This was an estate item stored for a few generations in an old jewelry box, no doubt because it was passed down. (2-23-17) It was photographed in its as found and unpolished condition.
