Art Nouveau Style Plaque, Cottage Garden, Raised Textures, Applied Flowers, Impressionistic Painting

I am uncertain of the composition of this beauty. Perhaps it is some kind of pressed wood fiber or gesso built up in layers to achieve a three dimensional effect. The shape is Art Nouveau style and the painting is impressionistic and hand painted. The forget me nots and roses appear to be hand applied. The scene shows a garden fence containing plantings of hollyhocks, delphiniums, roses and forget me nots. The pathway is painted with sun dappled deftness. It may be from the 1930s or earlier. Two very tiny nails are in the back and need some fine wire or strong fine cord to hang it on the wall. You may be able to put this on a table by fastening a hinged board on the back. 11" high and 10" wide at the base. Perfect in a country cottage. (#112 AHAV 3-5-18)
