This came from my friend’s mother’s estate and was tucked away in a cedar chest or trunk to be one day, put on her bed. When I got it the plastic it was encased in was failing from age. I was the first person to unfold it to place on my bed for photography! Uncertain of the exact date but washing instructions say to use Ivory soap flakes and do not mangle dry! 90” wide and 110” long with a classic 8 pointed star as the central motif. I LOVE how the design helps you to center it on the bed. Antique white with high cotton content and 3” wide spanish fringe. Bate of Maine is still in business and has a great reputation for high quality, long lived bedding. This is over 7 lbs in weight and only requires a day on the clothesline in the sun and a light breeze to make it ready to use. Very colonial, New England, traditional style.
