Pearl Harbor Navy Yard Silver Pendant and Bulletin June 1943 Estate Item

This item was designed and fabricated in the Navy Yard. The front shows the art deco era PHNY seal "We keep them fit to fight". The back has an anchor and the US flag and the words "The Stars and Stripes Forever". The Pearl Harbor Bulletin was the newspaper of the military and civilian yard workers during the WWII period. The front page story tells of the creation of these very pins and pendants. The pendant is just a little larger than a dime. This came from the estate of a former civilian worker at the PHNY. Phenomenal item for the Pearl Harbor or WWII collector. Please note that this is not any sort of commemorative piece about the bombing but rather a shout out to the many men and women who worked to keep the Pacific Fleet in "ship shape" order.
